Apex Legends: New Suicide Awareness Badge Available for Suicide Awareness Month

In time for September’s Suicide Awareness and Prevention month, Respawn has added a suicide awareness badge to Apex Legends.

To get the badge, players simply need to log into the game this month to claim it. It should appear as a login reward, automatically.

Players can show support to those dealing with mental health by logging in this month and equipping the badge. Respawn also released a video, explaining their reasoning for showing support to those struggling with mental illness, and suicidal thoughts.

In the video, members of the Respawn team/staff have shared their personal stories about their experiences with mental illness. They have also left Apex Legends players a message, urging them to check up on one another. This is crucial, especially considering how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the mental health of individuals around the world.

Mental illness can affect anyone, regardless of circumstance. If you, or anyone you know needs help regarding the matter, a list of international Suicide Prevention hotlines can be found here, while those based in the United States can view a list here.
